Sunday Best

Even as an infant my mother would dress me in huge frilly poofy dresses every Sunday morning for church. My Great Grandfather was a southern Baptist Preacher for many years until he passed away, so going to church every Sunday was just a part of life to me. Now that I am older I see just why my mother insisted on us to wear our best.
Jeremiah 18:1-6
18 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.” So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.5 Then the word of the Lord came to me. He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.
The Lord is like the potter working to make each one of us beautiful and useful. If we injure His work, He will not cast us aside, but asks us to repent and works again to make us beautiful. I wish that we could go down to the house of the potter and see him shape the clay while turning it swiftly on the wheel. It is wonderful how it grows under the potter’s hand, almost like a living thing, a beautiful symbol of the work of the Lord, the Divine Potter, shaping us day by day into forms of heavenly use and beauty; and if we will let Him do so, making again the vessel when it is marred.
Bro. Nathan's breakdown of the scripture makes it easy for me to comprehend. My purpose is to share God's word, to be useful, and to do so with Grace. Here I am with my small platform and I've been using it selfishly instead of sharing my love of Jesus with others. I'm not going to get on here and cram my bible down your throat by any means but I do plan on sharing scripture and anything that I believe will benefit your life.
