Flawless: I Woke Up Like this

I can't have you looking like Beyonce
but by dawn I can have you looking like the best you possible with these simple bedtime tricks!

Go to bed with a clean face.
Aside from funky eye gunk, not taking off your makeup before sleep causes pore-clogging, which can lead to breakouts. I love using my clarisonic Mia in combination with Cetaphil face wash. My skin feels revitalized and ready for skincare application.

Soften
For a pampering overnight treatment, apply Vaseline to the soles of your feet and put on socks before bed. The socks help bind the moisture to your feet and you’ll wake up to soft, smooth soles. Now all you need is a pair of strappy heels to show them off. For full body smoothing try Dove Dermaseries Intense Repair Lotion. Instant hydration that your body is craving during these cold months. I recommend always applying lip balm before sleep, for super soft lips use Bite Beauty Agave mask

De-puff

If you constantly wake up with puffy, swollen eyes, try this simple switch: Add an extra pillow and sleep on your back. This will allow the fluids around your eyes to drain easier and keep the puffiness to a minimum. Sleeping on your back can help nip them in the bud before they even start to form. Repeated pressure on the skin, causing creasing, can eventually lead to set-in lines. A person who sleeps on one side may even have more set-in wrinkles on that particular side compared to the other. And of course, don’t forget your eye cream. Look for creams that list caffeine as one of the ingredients—it will help keep fluids moving. Estee Lauder revitalizing supreme eye balm and Origins Gin-Zing Eye cream work wonders.

Moisturize

Ladies with dry skin, take note: you probably already know that drinking tons of water is good for your skin — but since you can't do that in your sleep (you'd have to be really talented) A humidifier might just change your skin forever. Turn one on before you sleep (this works best during colder months when the air is drier) and let it work its magic. It instills the air with moisture, which in turn helps plump your skin and keep it hydrated. For a fresh, dewy look in the morning, make sure to use an anti-aging night cream that contains hyaluronic acid. It attracts water into the skin, which helps smooth wrinkles. Never skipping your nightly beauty cream or serum may seem dramatic but it is so vital to your skin's health. Go above and beyond with the GlamGlow Hydrating Mask. You'll swear by it. These products work better during the "repair cycle of the skin," which is at night.

Brighten

It’s best to apply any face products that have brightening ingredients like retinol and vitamin C in them at night. Sunlight can actually deactivate them and prevent them from working to their fullest potential.
Whiten teeth
For an easy DIY whitening treatment, try brushing some baking soda to your pearly whites right before bed. Leave the mixture on for 5-6 minutes and make sure to rinse thoroughly afterwards. This is a perfect PM beauty treatment because in the waking hours, you would normally have to wait about 30 minutes before eating or drinking anything afterwards. Just make sure you are only doing this once a week; any more, and the acid in baking soda can wear down your tooth enamel.

Lengthen lashes
Give your fluttery fringe some loving with a DIY lash lengthening treatment. The secret ingredient? Castor oil. This natural oil is rich in super-hydrating omega-6 fatty acids, which help moisturize your lashes and prevent breakage. Using a clean spoolie, gently brush the castor oil through your lashes each night. In the morning, just rinse with warm water and wash your face as usual. You should notice healthier lashes in just a few weeks!

Create waves

To wake up with perfect waves, simply shower at night and style your hair before bed. Allow your strands to air dry until they’re damp, and run some light styling crème through with your fingers. Depending on your hair type and what kind of waves you prefer, you can either sleep in braids or twist your hair into buns. Don’t be afraid to experiment! Bed head has never looked so good.

Repair

Smooth a leave-in conditioner like Loreal Paris Oleo Therapy Oil on to your locks before you snooze to wake up to shiny, soft strands. Applying it in the evening gives treatment more time to penetrate into your hair cuticles for optimum moisture. A good idea to keep your hair out of your face while you're sleeping and to keep its natural oils from wrecking havoc on your complexion. I suggest wrapping it up in a silk scarf or a loose braid is a great way to keep your most recent blowout intact. Avoid pulling it into a really tight bun or ponytail because that can cause hair breakage, especially around the hairline.
