The Truth About Facial Oils

I am a huge fan of facial oils. If you are a regular to the blog then you know just how much I obsess over Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil. People can not believe that I put oil on my face. I was once skeptical too, but let me break it down why you should jump on the Facial Oil bandwagon.

Myth: Oils clog your pores.
Truth: Unlike synthetic oils, natural oils are less likely to to clog pores while restoring moisture.
Myth: Oils are heavy on your skin.
Truth: Natural oils are fat loving, they penetrate almost immediately on contact. I apply 5 drops to my face and within 10 minutes it is fully adsorbed and glowing.
Myth: Oils are not right for women with naturally oily skin.
Truth: Oil balances oil. Oils similiar to those naturally produced by our bodies help balance skin's moisture. If you add oil to your skin, you're going to keep your skin from producing too much oil. Common for those with cystic acne.

Myth: Oils are not an effective anti aging solution.
Truth: As you age your oil production decreases, making wrinkles intensify. Oil helps prevent water loss and soften the appearance of fine lines. Think of your skin as a grape, now leave that grape out in the sun to be dried. Once the moisture is gone you now have a wrinkly raisin. Make sense now? Moisture is key to Anti Aging.

Truth: Oil can make your skin look luminous, not an oil slick!

What it is: Argan Oil is a 100% organic. "The liquid gold of Morocco” is extracted from the nut of the Argan tree, which grows only in the Moroccan desert. Argan Oil is loaded with Vitamin E and essential fatty acids, so it has amazing healing, conditioning and repairing properties—for skin, hair, feet, nails,

Why I love it: It’s light enough to use as an everyday moisturizer, and powerful enough to soothe the symptoms of skin ailments like eczema or rosacea.

What’s in it: 100% Pure Argan Oil—organically grown, cold-pressed, and ready to rock your world.

How to use it: Hydrate your skin after a shower.  Dab a drop on rough cuticles, or smooth it onto your hair for shine and softness.Seriously you can apply this gold elixir anywhere to solve dryness issues.

I'm not saying go buy every expensive oil on the market. Josie Maran is my favorite. I've tried the Tarte Maracuja Oil and wasn't as please. Olay just released a facial oil, I haven't tried it yet but it is paraben free, all natural, and included several different essential oils.
